Traditional instruments use exclusively to bring out the Lao beautiful sound. This is another type of Lao folk music. This is great, traditional Lao affair with a modern veneer that you can dance joyfully to. She will do one more concert in April at Bonnyrigg Sports Club (610 Elizabeth Drive, Bonnyrigg, NSW) on 18th & 25th of April.

Lao folk music has gained more fans with the emerging of a new princess of Morlum know as Latsamy Phoudindong. It is so cool comes to think of it that Lao people have our own distinctive, unique, music and instruments. They have been around for generations. We must be some stubborn people on Earth since there have been many influences coming from left, right and centre. Lao traditional music remains still as popular as ever!

Now there are so many good artists coming through. See all these talented people must give our young kid a reason to dream and make us more confidence in making good music. With our relaxed and friendly by nature attitude, stars or well-known people are just as humble as you are.

Latsamy Phoudindong has emerged as the main songstress for Morlum. With her exotic name, lovely smile, sexy eyes and absolute gorgeous voice, she appears to be a creative force behind re-emergence of Lum. She has restored Lum to its former glamourised past. I have always been the fan of Lum. It was Lum that I firstly listened to as a Lao person and have been listening since.

This is one of her masterpiece of arts. It’s Kub Gneum, one of many types of Lao traditional music originated from the Land of Million Elephants.
