This is a tribute to Viseth, the true Lao
Rock Star. Kirk "Viseth" Phaysith's
life cut terribly short at

very young age. He was just 29 years old.
A few years ago, We contacted Kirk
asking for permission to do an article on him. He was glad. In a typical manner of good Laotian, he organised someone sending us
three of his released albums. Kirk had lived life to the
full.

Viseth was born in Vientiane, Laos some times in 1974.
The artist picked up his first guitar at a tender age of eleven.
Recently JACKSON GUITARS (http://www.jacksonguitars.com),
one of the best-known brands in the world, endorsed him as one of them.
He recorded his first album with his heavy
metal band in 1993. They were awarded New Artist of The year in
1994. Fame followed. They appeared in print media, MNMT Guitar
Magazine.
He recorded two more albums with the band and
toured with them. He was sick of life on the road. He decided to
call it quit.
Several years on he made a come back and returned to his
root where he recorded his solo album in 2000 and also made another with one of
heavy metal band.
As for this year, 2001 he recorded one song so far called
"Road Rage"
He likes beautiful women and hates lairs but the love of
his life has always been playing heavy hard rock songs with his beloved Jackson
guitars. This Minnesota based
artist’s credits include Raw Fuzion, the Feed The Beast solo album AND PLAY WITH FIRE 2000.
Noticeably Metallica is his favourite band.
He has been playing for many years with famous artists so there’s no
gimmicks, no fancy try hard style; just on ya face heavy thumping and a kick ass
metal mayhem.

Kirk Viseth, the immortal warrior with great power, Sticky Rice Fingers. The
mission here is to destroy Evil of Reality and ..... army preying on humanity.
Ten songs feature in this CD. Produced by TMZ Production. This is the only
song that he sings with. In this CD you can listen to one of the songs that he
recorded at his dad's garage when he was 15. All songs are written and arranged
by Viseth.
New Gig in Town
September 2001 Kirk Viseth joined new band, VOID. Currently they are
recording their first album. They are from Cleveland, Ohio.
The four-man-band is experimenting on new music style. According to their
website press release, their new album will be ready by spring. Gigs will
follow.
