Lao legendary singer known as Mr K Viseth who had many massive hit songs during his time with in Laos and neighbouring countries. Born in Sykai, Sykorthabong, Vientiane Laos. Real name is Kuntung Lathparkdy.
Hits songs such as Gonejug, Jati Lum Pan, Sao Ponhong, Xiengkhaoung, Tai Dum Lum Pan, Sao Pao Hmong, Sungkon Laijay are some of his greatest hits.
His first real break into music industry came in the early 1970s where he became a lead singer of a school band. The band sponsored by Kong Lae, an former Lao Royal Army General and also ex - Pathat Lao army officer.
He appeared in several Thai movies as a leading man. His first Thai movie called Ruk Ther Smer (meaning Love You Eternally), Second movie is Namperng Prachan (meaning Sweat & beautiful). He also appeared In Thai television several times. Tai Dum Lum Pan is also a title of a Lao movie, co-operation between Lao and Thai companies where he appeared also as a leading man.
No doubt he is one of many great country artists from Lao golden era, who is instrumental chief architect for paving the healthy way for younger generations. Now they have the fruitful benefit by listening to very best of Lao country music that we have to offer. Some have followed his footsteps to become great country singers themselves.
He used to have record deal with Thai music company. Some of his great songs were made famous in Cambodia, Myanmar and Thailand by local artists.
He sang on stage in Vietnam, Thailand, Europe, Australia and of course the States. Now he resides In Arizona, America. He occasionally sings and he's released few new album since. The latest released album from this Lao legendary singer called Jug Jay K. Viseth meaning From K. Viseth With Love.
