When I was younger, life felt like one big adventure. I didn’t have much—let’s be honest, my wallet was usually pretty empty—but somehow, I managed to pull off things that still surprise me today. Organizing events, concerts, even fashion parades while I was in school? Looking back, I don’t know how I did it. Maybe it was sheer stubbornness or just the fact that I loved bringing people together. Whatever it was, those moments shaped me. They taught me how to dream bigger than what seemed possible and how to create something out of almost nothing.

Now, as I’ve grown older, I find myself thinking about legacy a lot. Not in some grand, “I want to change the world” kind of way, but more like… what will people remember about me when I’m gone? What mark can I leave behind that feels real and meaningful?

Our latest song, “ສາວລາວ Simply Beautiful, the title says it all—it’s about Lao women, their quiet strength, their grace, and their beauty. But it’s not just surface-level beauty we’re talking about here. It’s deeper than that. To me, Lao women embody everything elegant and resilient, like our national flower, the frangipani. You’ve seen it, right? That delicate white-and-yellow bloom that smells so sweet and stands strong even under the blazing sun? That’s what I wanted to capture in this song: the essence of a Lao woman who carries herself with dignity, warmth, and pride.

At its core, this song is for anyone who has ever taken pride in where they come from. Whether you’re Lao or not, I hope it reminds you of someone special—a mother, sister, friend, or partner—who makes your life brighter just by being themselves. Because isn’t that what beauty really is? Not perfection, but authenticity. Not glamour, but kindness.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that leaving a legacy isn’t about chasing fame or recognition. It’s about touching hearts. So yeah, I’m still working on my legacy.
