September has arrived, and with it comes the reminder that my birthday is just around the corner. It’s hard to believe that in only a couple of months, we’ll be welcoming the New Year. Honestly, where has the time gone? It feels like the months have flown by in the blink of an eye — maybe that’s what happens when life keeps you busy and you’re enjoying the ride.

It’s also been almost a full year since laopress.com came back to life. I still see people dropping by, curious to take a peek at what we’ve been publishing. That little spark of interest from readers means a lot — it’s a reminder that what we’re doing matters to someone out there.

This past year hasn’t been without its challenges. In fact, it’s been a test on all fronts — but in the best way possible. Every hurdle has kept me on my toes, pushing me to stay creative, focused, and resilient. I’ve learned to keep myself both sane and busy, and somewhere along the way, I’ve found joy in the process.

Here’s to the months ahead — birthdays, celebrations, and whatever surprises life decides to throw in.
